It’s been a while since I last posted here and today I decided to continue updating the site. It’s easy to start off with the newest free file of the month from Videohive.net. This month (May 2012) the freebie project is from a very talented author Balistique.

Sphinxcorp is a famous Youtube user we have featured a few times before. I was just browsing his Youtube channel and realized that I haven’t even posted all the free After Effects Templates he’s sharing with the rest of the world! That’s why I’m now introducing you to Radeon, a nice and minimalistic After Effects template useful for something related to scifi, technology or future.
Videohive Free File of the Month – March 2012
Good news for everyone, it’s already 1st of March in Australia and Videohive.net has listed a new Free File of the Month on their site. This month the file is made by a guy (EFEKT_Studio) who I personally have been talking with on Videohive’s IRC channel so I can assure you that he’s a great person to deal with if you need any further assistance or customizations to the project (you will have to pay of course). The After Effects Template in question is called Chrome Logo and it’s one of those cool project files that take your 2D logo and create a good looking shiny 3D video of it.

Today I was looking for free After Effects projects and I stumbled upon this one while visiting placdarms.lv. The project file is not made by Placdarms, but another motion graphics artist, MotionRevolver from Videohive.net. Asketic Lines Logo provides you with stylish line animation, bright colors and various camera angles so only imagination is the limit when thinking of where it could be used!

Just like every month I remember to post the monthly freebie of Videohive.net in the middle of the month! Anyway, this month Videohive gives away a short but cool logo string project from a well known project reviewer Placdarms. The project file in question is is a distorted logo string with a digital feel and old-school TV noise in it. As Placdarms states this template works well for pretty much anything as an intro video.

Today I was wandering around the Internet looking for some cool After Effects freebies to post here and I found a great one from AePortal. People over at DropDrop.com are giving away a free After Effects project with 77 compositions inside. This color grade project is available for those who “like” dropdrop.com’s Facebook page.

In November Videohive.net is giving out a nice over one minute long After Effects slideshow template! It was released about an year ago by a creative motion graphics artist called White-Shade. The project has been purchased almost 300 times after the release and has a 5 star rating which means that the quality is top notch!
Simple Rings
Simple Rings is a free After Effects template to be used for simple logo reveal animations. No additional plugins are required to be able to use the project file so just a clean install of After Effects is needed. The project’s resolution is FullHD (1920*1080) but HD (1280*720) and NTSC SD resolutions are also made available.
